Our site may really be a quality site but we’re having trouble keeping up with the “serious, deeply committed drop masters” at Entrecard. Here’s 10 possible things why:

1. No time to visit/ drop card to other Entrecard users.
   -Utilizing Entrecard’s full potential is through dropping your card to other users up to 300 times daily. It’s the only sure way of getting traffic back; that at least half or more than half of the users you visited will return back the favor so if you do it daily, you are assured of at least 150 visits a day to your site!
2. You don’t buy Ads.-You don’t buy ads because you don’t have enough credits. Or maybe you love hoarding it! (Hey, it doesn’t have any monetary value so spend it on buying ads!) You don’t visit at least 150 times. You can earn 150 credits when you do and you can use the credits to buy ads from other blogs with Entrecard widgets. That in turn will reward you with more visits and extra credits without doing extra work from your end. You earn credits, buy ads and get more traffic.

3. Your 125×125 ad needs a facelift!
   -Admit it, your entrecard card looks so boring that nobody wants to click it! In most cases, two heads are better than one- so go ahead, ask your partner or friend to HONESTLY tell you if your ad sucks or not! Maybe that’s just what’s holding you from getting that edge over the rest.
4. You’re in the wrong category!
   - Analyze your blog. Who is your target market? What do you discuss most on your site? Why are you on the ‘celebrity’ category when you only talk about celebrities half the time and your site looks more like a personal site than a celebrity site. If you don’t have a niche, most often your best category may be personal OR mixed bag. Do you live abroad or outside your land of birth? Then you might be better off in the Expat category! There are fewer bloggers there currently 80 than personal with 2,983 bloggers!!
5. Showing half-naked people or showing suggestive, provocative ads may turn AGAINST you NOT work for you!
   - C’mon now, do you actually believe that people will click on your ad just because you are showing half-naked men or women? Perhaps but NOT always. We guarantee you, half or more than half the time, people are turned off by it! If you have a quality site, you don’t need to hype up your ad by showing inappropriate images not relevant to your site. Please be considerate as well, kids can/ may see your ad. If you have a kid, would you show that inappropriate image ad to her or him?
6. Takes you forever to approve requested ads.
   - We know you’re a busy person, we’ve already established that. Given that you don’t even drop cards, at least check your Entrecard account twice a week to see if there are ads needed approving! Don’t let it pile up, it may discourage other users to buy ads from you or even visit you because it takes you two weeks or one month to approve an ad.
7. You are too picky with ads!
   -Ads shown on your sites appear only for a day! So what if it’s NOT RELEVANT? It’s NOT relevant to you but may still be relevant or of interest to your readers! Why do you decide that for your readers? Our own policy is simple, if it shows suggestive images- that’s a reject! All the rest are approved! Ads not relevant to your site are actually a good way for you and your readers to discover a new site, like stumbleupon- you never know what kind of new sites you get to find out. Sometimes it may surprise you in the best possible ways!
8. You don’t have enough network!
   -Outside or inside of Entrecard, you are really NOT making any effort at all to promote your website. Don’t give us that crap that you are writing for yourself and don’t care if people are reading you or not! Of course you care, you are just in denial that nobody’s reading/visiting your site.If you don’t care, then you have no business being on Entrecard in the first place because Entrecard is to boost your traffic! You also have no business blogging, period. Don’t create an online diary with public access if you don’t care if people are reading you or not. Do it privately then.
9. You don’t submit your blog to blog listings, directories (Mybloglog, Blog catalog, Technorati) and gallery of sites such as the Entredropper.com
   - Chances are, there are Entrecard users on these listings and they are more likely to find your site and visit you since you also are an Entrecard user! You need to be on these directories for backlinks and linklove. Your link stays forever on these sites unless you break their TOS or something.
10. We give up. You think your site is quality material but in reality it is not! Your site is quality material but you are too lazy to promote it or do anything but write!
11. -Time to reassess. Sometimes the problem is in itself the blog or the blogger. Think about it, famous brands spend billions and billions of dollars in advertisements year after year, on print, media and the internet.

    That’s why Google is flourishing! That’s why they are famous because they maintain it to be that way. If you’re not making ANY effort at all to promote your site in whatever form, you can’t expect it to be magically successful. If you are not writing quality content at all then you’re not giving any reason for readers to want to read you and keep coming back.

    Do not blame the blog directories or social networks NOT doing it for you. You may be to blame in your own predicament. Why are you blogging again? What is your goal? Who are you writing? If you can’t even answer these questions, maybe it’s time to pack your proverbial bags and find another form of hobby or activity because blogging ain’t for you.
